Glades/Hendry Local Coordinating Board meeting set Jan. 30
MOORE HAVEN — Glades/Hendry Local Coordinating Board will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 10:30 a.m. at the Glades County Department of Health, 1021 Health Park Drive. Museum hosts guest speaker
CLEWISTON — The Clewiston Museum, 109 Central Ave., will host a special guest speaker, Dr. Andrew Frank, on Thursday, Jan. 24, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dr. Frank’s presentation will explore how and why ancient and early modern peoples profoundly shaped the development of Florida. This program is free to the public and beverages and snacks will be provided.

LHM to host guest speaker
LABELLE — The LaBelle Heritage Museum (LHM) will host a presentation by FSU Historian Andrew K. Frank on “Before the Pioneers: Connecting Ancient & Contemporary South” on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. at the Dallas B. Golf tournament set Jan. 19
The Clewiston Golf Course, 1201 San Luiz Ave., will hold the eighth annual Deputy Brian Hass Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. For information or to sign-up, call 863-983-1448.

Winter nationals scheduled
Hendry County Motorsports Park starts its first annual winter nationals Friday and Saturday, Jan. 18 and 19, with the Ump Modifieds, Florida late models, V-8 Warriors, street stocks, and gladiators. Friday night is ladies night and ladies get in free. Saturday kids bring your bikes for the kids bicycle race during intermission.
