Keelyn Sanchez and Amanda Pereiro from Clewiston High School are two of more than 800 high school cheerleaders and dancers from across the country who represented the camp brands of Varsity Spirit in the third annual Varsity Spirit Spectacular at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, from Nov. 30 – Dec. 3.
The individuals invited to perform in the parade are part of select group of 10th to 12th grade captains, co-captains and officers who attended a Varsity Spirit summer camp this summer hosted by Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA),
Universal Dance Association (UDA), National Cheerleaders Association (NCA), National Dance Alliance (NDA) and United Spirit Association (USA).
Keelyn and Amanda performed in an exclusive pre-parade performance through Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park before hundreds of fans. They were selected out of about 400 performers to be in the first few rows to lead the parade down its route. Besides enjoying a sunny trip to Orlando, performers had the opportunity to meet cheerleaders and dancers from across the nation and enjoy a magical holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort parks. “I had an amazing time during the weekend! I got to meet many different people around the country and make new friends. If I had the chance to go again, I would in a heartbeat!” said Keelyn Sanchez.
“I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to be in the Varsity Spirit Spectacular parade. It was the best experience, and I couldn’t have done it without my parents and coaches” said Amanda Pereiro.
