Fees for private wells waived until October 11

The “Drinking Water Testing Lab” for the Florida Department of Health in Hendry and Glades Counties is now being operated out of the Florida Department of Health in Glades County at 1021 Health Park Drive, Moore Haven.

Water samples can be dropped off for testing on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If your private well has been damaged or compromised by Hurricane Irma, the fees will be waived for all Hendry and Glades County private well owners until October 11. After that date, all normal fees will be charged.
