Felda man killed in traffic crash

HENDRY COUNTY — A Felda man was killed Friday night in a one vehicle crash on CR 835 near Etumakee Way.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, a 2011 BMW M3 was northbound on County Road 835 approaching Etumakee Way around 9:55 p.m. Sept. 9, when the right rear tire blew out, causing the driver to lose control. The BMW traveled northwest and exited the paved portion of the roadway and entered a canal with approximately 4 feet of standing water. The vehicle overturned several times and collided with a barbed wire fence. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle, according to the FHP report.

Chad Billy Motlow, 22, of Felda, was killed in the crash.

Daylyn L. J. Hall, 23, of Clewiston was transported to Hendry Regional Hospital.

The FHP is investigating and has not yet determined who was driving at the time of the accident, according to the report.
