Hendry County Roadwatch Report for week of Jan. 29

HENDRY COUNTY

Flaghole Road from Woodland Boulevard to US 27 (approximately 5.87 miles): Construction project: Crews are preparing to resurface Flaghole Road from Woodland Boulevard, to US 27.  The improvements include removal of an existing drainage conveyance, installation of two 72” Culverts and associated drainage improvements, roadway safety treatments, and milling and resurfacing of the roadway. Watch for crews and equipment working close to the road. Drivers should expect daytime lane closures. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone in a single lane. Please observe posted speed limits and drive with caution in the construction zone. The contractor is Community Asphalt Corporation. Estimated completion is summer 2017.

SR 80 from Dalton Lane to Indian Hills Drive:  Maintenance permit project: Crews will be relocating utilities near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, weather permitting.  Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 80 from Phillips Road to Huggetts Road: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent eastbound lane closures during daytime hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, while crews pave the roadway, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 80 from Double J. Acres Road to CR 78A:  Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent eastbound and westbound lane closures from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. while crews construct turn lanes, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 29 from Case Road to Wilson Road: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures during daytime hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, while crews construct a turn lane, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
