Hendry County Commission names Jennifer Davis Interim County Administrator

LABELLE — On Tuesday, Oct. 9, the Hendry County Board of County Commissioners selected Deputy County Administrator, Jennifer Davis, to fill the role of Interim County Administrator effective immediately.

The Board’s decision comes after the resignation of Hendry County Administrator, Charles Chapman, who has accepted the position for City Manager of the City of Naples, Florida.

Davis has served Hendry County for over 19 years in various roles including Chief Financial Officer and Budget Director for the Clerk of Court, Office of Management of Budget Director and Deputy County Administrator for the Board of County Commissioners.

The Board directed Davis to work with Chair Mitchell Wills to negotiate an employment contract which will be presented to the Board at the Oct. 23 meeting.

Charles Chapman will remain available as an advisor to Hendry County until Dec. 3.
