HENDRY COUNTY

Jaycee-Lions Drive from Labelle Civic Park to Main Street (SR 29) Construction project: Crews will improve the existing drainage on Jaycee-Lions Drive from LaBelle Civic Park to Main Street (SR 29). Additional improvements include constructing sidewalks and installing signs and pavement markings on Jaycee-Lions Drive. Single lane closures are not permitted between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. nor between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Jaycee-Lions Drive. Please follow flagger direction and watch for workers in the construction zone. Estimated project completion is early 2019. The contractor is LAS Contracting Corporation.

US 27 at Central Avenue: Maintenance contract project: Crew will be replacing drainage pipe under Central Avenue, Monday through Saturday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crew work near the roadway.

US 27 from SR 80 to the City of Clewiston: Maintenance project: Crews will be landscaping near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

US 27 from SR 80 to the Palm Beach County Line: Maintenance contract project: Crews will be installing underground utilities near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 80 at Riverbend RV Park: Maintenance permit project: Crews will be installing underground utilities near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 80 from Birchwood Parkway to Dalton Lane: Maintenance contract project: Crews will be installing underground utilities near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 80 from Dalton Lane to CR 833: Construction project: Crews will widen approximately 11 miles of roadway from two to four lanes and add new turning lanes. Additional work includes repaving the current lanes of SR 80 and constructing ten new bridges. Three of the bridges will require full demolition and removal of the existing bridges in order to construct the new ones. Work also includes drainage improvements, adding curb and gutter, and installing LED lighting. Drivers should use caution while traveling in this area. Estimated project completion is summer 2020. The contractor is AJAX Paving Industries of Florida.

• Motorists should expect periodic stop and go flagging operations on westbound SR 80. Crews are connecting the driveways and crossovers from the old pavement to the new pavement between Indian Hills Drive and CR 833. Please follow flagger direction and watch for workers in the construction zone.

SR 80 from Dalton Lane to Indian Hills Drive: Maintenance permit project: Crews will be relocating utilities near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

LaBelle Drawbridge over the Caloosahatchee River (SR 29/Bridge Street): Construction project: Crews will repair and rehabilitate the LaBelle drawbridge by strengthening the steel and concrete beams.

• Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures on the bridge over the Caloosahatchee River during overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

If a full bridge closure is required, message boards will be in place to notify drivers of the closures and detour routes. The full bridge closure hours will be from Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m. only.

There will be limited pedestrian access on the bridge. The contractor is Seacoast, Inc. Estimated completion is early 2019. Please allow extra travel time and watch for construction crews in the work zone.

SR 29 from F Road to G Road: Maintenance project: Motorists should expect northbound lane closures during daytime hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday while crews maintain drainage structures, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 29 from Jim Kulzy Road to B Road: Maintenance project: Crews will be landscaping near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 29 from Sears Road to G Road: Maintenance project: Crews will be cleaning drainage structures near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 29 from Cowboy Way to SR 80: Maintenance contract project: Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures during daytime hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday while crews restripe the roadway, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work in the roadway.
