Hendry County Roadwatch Report for week of June 4

HENDRY COUNTY
 
US 27 from the Palm Beach County line to the Glades County line: Maintenance project: Crews will be landscaping near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 80 from Phillips Road to Huggetts Road: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent eastbound lane closures during daytime hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, while crews pave the roadway, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 80 from Double J. Acres Road to CR 78A: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent eastbound and westbound lane closures from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. while crews construct turn lanes, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 80 from Grandma’s Boulevard to Huggetts Road: Construction project: Crews will repave one half of a mile on both the eastbound and westbound lanes of SR 80 from Grandma’s Boulevard to Huggetts Road in LaBelle. Work will also include widening the shoulder to accommodate new bicycle lanes by adding a five foot bicycle keyhole in the westbound right turn lane. Additional improvements include installing guardrails, pavement markings, enhancing signage and signalization. Pedestrians should use caution in this area during construction. Please be aware of crews working close to the roadway. Estimated project completion is fall 2017. The contractor is Community Asphalt Corporation.

SR 80 from Dalton Lane to CR 833: Construction project: Crews will widen approximately 11 miles of roadway from two to four lanes and add new turning lanes. Additional work includes repaving the current lanes of SR 80 and constructing ten new bridges. Three of the bridges will require full demolition and removal of the existing bridges in order to construct the new ones. Work also includes drainage improvements, adding curb and gutter, and installing LED lighting. Estimated project completion is summer 2020. The contractor is AJAX Paving Industries of Florida.

SR 80 from Dalton Lane to Indian Hills Drive: Maintenance permit project: Crews will be relocating utilities near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 29 from Case Road to Wilson Road: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures during daytime hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, while crews construct a turn lane, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 29 from Cowboy Way to Collier Collier County Line: Maintenance project: Crews will be digging ditches during daytime hours Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.

SR 29 at Patton Road: Maintenance project: Crews will be repairing drainage culverts near the roadway during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Motorists should use caution as crews work near the roadway.
