Hendry-Glades Audubon offers birding tours

The Hendry-Glades Audubon Society offers a variety of birding tours in the Stormwater Treatment Areas south of Lake Okeechobee that are home to a variety of birds and other wildlife.

• STA 5/6 has walking and bicycle access during daylight hours for visits on Friday, Saturday, Monday and most Sundays year-round. (It is closed Sundays in the fall and spring for duck hunts). Park in Public Access at the south end of Blumberg Road.

• STA 5/6 Organized van trips are available on Fridays through the Clewiston Museum Educational Program plus visit to STA5/6. Tour rates are $25 per person with groups up to 12 persons.
