Storm debris pick-up update Oct. 27

LABELLE — As of Oct. 24, the following are the quantities in cubic yards (CY) of woody debris that have been picked up in Hendry County: Hendry County – 129,555 CY; City of LaBelle – 52,426 CY; City of Clewiston – 29,004 CY. and the total hauled = 210,985 CY

Areas that have not yet had a first pass completed are Port LaBelle, Montura Ranch Estates, the Wheeler Road Community, Pollywog Point and Wren Way in North LaBelle.

Debris pick up will commence in Montura Ranch Estates once an Interlocal Agreement for Debris Removal is executed by the Central County Water Control District (CCWCD).

The County is obtaining the required signatures to pick up debris on Phillips Road in western Hendry County. Road and Bridge staff will be in the area this weekend to continue collecting signatures.
