Honoring Jayven with love

A family of two brothers, Kameron Preston and Jay V. Preston, are the third-year recipients of “TIS THE SEASON” – Christmas Gifts from Jayven.

A family of two brothers, Kameron and Jay Preston, was honored with Christmas Gifts from Jayven.

Presenters on this blessed night are mom Jacquay Johnson, Jayven’s siblings Eric and Emerie, cousin Journe Clarke and aunts Shirley Wilkerson, Jennifer Carter and Vermell White. The family will honor and carry this tradition out each year in memory of Little Master Jayven, who received his angelic wings on Dec. 20, 2016, due to a medical condition. Jayven touched many hearts at his Eastside Elementary School family, and the impact was contagious with heart and genuine love. A special soul to Jayven and the family is Principal Kristi Durance.

First-year recipient was A.J. Horne, and the second-year recipient was Jose Tinnico. We thank you all from the community and especially family for making this possible.

This TIS THE SEASON for Jayven is also honored in Georgia, where his grandmothers, Rhonda White Yarboriugh and Lizzie Coggins, reside and the third-year recipient was presented as well.
