Hurricane Irma Shelters in Hendry County

HENDRY COUNTY — Shelters for those who need it during the event of Hurricane Irma will be open Friday, September 8, 2017 beginning at 3 p.m. on both sides of the County. Initial shelters will be LaBelle Middle School and Clewiston High School. If needed, other shelters will be opened across the County and will be named at a later time. If you plan to move to a shelter, please bring three days of food and water for you and any loved ones you are bringing with you to the shelter.

• Clewiston High School, 1501 Francisco St, Clewiston, FL 33440

• Special Needs Shelter – West Glades School, 2500 S Co Rd 731 SW, LaBelle, FL 33935

The special needs shelter will open at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017, persons in need must have a caretaker with them while staying at the shelter.

Please bring your own bedding along with enough food and water for three days.
