Seacoast Bank opens its new Clewiston branch

CLEWISTON — Seacoast National Bank opened its new branch at the Sugarland Plaza in Clewiston by providing a free breakfast for the community and hosting a ceremony presided over by Banking Center Manager Letitia Swangler on May 23.

Approximately 40 people came out for the ribbon-cutting, said Joel Staley, senior vice president.

Local dignitaries who attended included Clewiston Mayor Mali Gardner, Clewiston Police Chief Aaron Angel, Clewiston Chamber of Commerce Director Hillary Hyslope, Clewiston Chamber of Commerce President Belinda Smith, Clewiston Fire Chief and City Engineer Tommy Perry, U.S. Sugar Public Coordinator Jennifer Black, Hendry County Commissioner Karson Turner, Hendry Regional Hospital chief R.D. Williams and Barbara Edmonds, a local business owner and Clewiston Chamber board member.
