Southwest Airlines Medical Transportation Grant Program

Southwest Airlines is now accepting applications for the 2018 Medical Transportation Grant Program. Hospitals and medical transportation organizations interested in applying for 2018 MTGP must apply online by September 30.

Through the Southwest Airlines Medical Transportation Grant Program (MTGP) we provide complimentary, roundtrip tickets to nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation organizations. Southwest allows participating nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation nonprofit organizations the freedom to determine how to distribute the tickets to patients and/or caregivers.

We’re proud to partner with the following nonprofit hospitals and organizations in our 2017 Medical Transportation Grant Program. Each hospital has its own guidelines for administration of these tickets, so please contact the Social Work, Travel/Concierge Service, or Patient Assistance Department directly from one of the links below to see if you qualify for travel assistance.

Southwest Airlines is announcing that more than $4 million in free transportation is being provided to more than 90 hospitals and organizations nationwide who have been selected as recipients of the 2017 Medical Transportation Grant Program. To date, more than $23.6 million in free transportation has been distributed in 40 unique cities in 25 states since the program’s inception in 2007.
