UPDATE: 5 Arrested in Shooting of Flaghole Woman

UPDATE: Five people, including three juveniles, were arrested in the Jan. 4 shooting of 34-year-old Samantha Johns, Hendry County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Savannah Tiger, 19, Richard Stevens, 34, Dalton Lee, 14, Joan Alexander Arellano, 17, and Brandon Stevens, 14, all of Clewiston, were arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and burglary with assault.

The five allegedly planned to burglarize Johns’ home in Flaghole in the early morning hours of Jan. 4, according to information released by the sheriff’s office.

Johns reportedly came home unexpectedly and found the two 14-year-old boys inside her home. As the two boys fled, Johns reportedly grabbed hold of one of the boys at which time a firearm went off and struck Johns.

Savannah Tiger was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Burglary with Assault. She is currently being held in the Hendry County Jail with a $75,000 bond.

Richard Stevens was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Burglary with Assault. He is currently being held in the Hendry County Jail with a $75,000 bond

Dalton Lee was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Burglary with Assault. Lee was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice, where he is currently being held.

Joan Alexander Arellano was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Burglary with Assault. Arellano was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice, where he is currently being held.

Brandon Stevens was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Burglary with Assault. Stevens was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice, where he is currently being held.


At about 1:30 a.m. Monday, Hendry County Deputies arrived at 317 Kilpatrick Loop in Clewiston in reference to a shooting.

At the home, deputies found  32-year-old Samantha Johns who had been shot, according to information released by the sheriff’s office. Deputies reportedly found her lying on her back suffering from two gunshot wounds.

Johns was transported for medical treatment.

At this time, Hendry County Investigators are uncertain of the motive of the shooting. The investigation is ongoing and investigators are continuing to follow up on all leads.
