A Clewiston woman contacted police two days in a row late last month after a man she reportedly saw hosing himself down naked in her backyard returned the next day with a bicycle and push lawn mower.

According to an arrest report released by the Clewiston Police Department, a woman called on May 31 to report that a man had been in her shed and was naked, washing himself off with her water hose. The naked man reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived, but allegedly returned to the same location the next day, toting a lawn mower and bicycle, and sat himself down on a crate next to the woman’s shed before police arrived to take him away.

Daniel Hannam Jr., 23, of Clewiston, has had his fair share of run-ins with law enforcement over the years.
In the latest incident, it is reported that Hannam broke into the woman’s shed “several times” on more than one occasion, and used her water hose to shower naked in the open backyard.

During an interview with police, Hannam reportedly referred to the woman by name while describing with detail the color of her house. He also asked officers if his arrest had anything to do with him being in the woman’s shed, which he allegedly told officers “should be OK because the shed was unlocked,” according to the report.

The bicycle and lawn mower that police found next to Hannam before he was arrested did not belong to the homeowners, and were placed into evidence at the Clewiston Police Department.

Hannam was charged with burglary of a structure or conveyance unarmed without persons inside and is being held at the Hendry County Jail on an $8,500 bond.
