Man shot in Pioneer Plantation Community

CLEWISTON — A 65 year old man was shot in the Pioneer Plantation Community Nov. 16.

The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office reported that at approximately 8 p.m. Thursday evening, Nov. 16, Hendry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a man shot in the Pioneer Plantation Community in Hendry County.

Hendry County Deputies along with Investigators responded to the area of 3395 Pioneer 14th St., Pioneer, Clewiston. When they arrived they found 65 year old Paul Pare of Sunrise, suffering from a gunshot wound. Pare was immediately transported for medical care but later died from his injuries.

A short time later Deputies located a person of interest and are currently questioning him.
