Sheriff’s Office to conduct DUI Saturation throughout September

Throughout the month of September, the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting DUI Saturation patrols on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in both eastern and western Hendry County.

Officers involved in the Saturation Patrol will be looking for signs of impaired driving and other traffic violations. Motorists who show signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment will be evaluated and appropriate enforcement action will be taken.

The purpose of this program is to place additional officers in and around the Hendry County area with the goal of detecting and deterring impaired driving.

“These ‘saturation’ patrols are an enhancement to our daily commitment to remove impaired drivers from our roadways”, said Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden. “It is our intention is keep our roadways safe from unsafe drivers.”
