Single vehicular crash claim life

CLEWISTON — A Clewiston man died in a single vehicle crash on Tuesday, May 1, while traveling on County Road 833.

A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) press release stated that at approximately 3:09 p.m. a 2002 Ford F-150 truck operated by Marvin Dwaine Mcgee, 53, of Clewiston was traveling southbound on County Road 833. The truck ran off the road way to the left and drove over a drainage culvert. The truck went air-borne and over turned. The truck struck the east shoulder of County Road 833. The truck came to final rest over turned on the east shoulder of County Road 833 facing north.

It was reported that Mr. Mcgee died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Mr. Mcgee was wearing a seatbelt.

The investigating officers were Trooper Justin Sanchez, Crash Investigator and Corporal Mariam Berthet, Homicide Investigator.
