With the uncertainty of the potential damage from Hurricane Irma, FSW’s top priority is the safety of our students, faculty and staff. In order to give everyone additional time to either evacuate the area or prepare for Hurricane Irma, Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) will be closed Thursday and Friday, Sept. 7-8. While we hope that the storm moves off the coast and doesn’t impact any land area, we will also be closed Monday, Sept. 11, for anticipated storm clean-up, and/or time for people to return to southwest Florida.
These closings include the FSW campuses in Fort Myers, Naples and Punta Gorda; plus the Hendry-Glades Curtis Center in LaBelle. This also includes the FSW Collegiate High Schools in Fort Myers, Punta Gorda, and the Clewiston Institute. Additional closings include the child care centers on FSW’s Fort Myers campus, and the NCEF Early Childhood Development Center and the NCEF University of Florida Pediatric Dental Clinic on the Naples campus.
At this time, FSW will resume normal classes and activities beginning Tuesday, Sept. 12. Changes, if any, will be posted at FSW.edu and on FSW’s Facebook and Twitter pages @FSWCollege and @FSWBucs and local media.
