Learn about archaeology and career opportunities in Palm Beach County

BELLE GLADE — Join Palm Beach State College’s anthropology faculty for a combination live and live stream event connecting the Belle Glade and Loxahatchee Groves campuses. Learn about the fascinating pre-Columbian archaeology of the Glades region and exciting career opportunities in Palm Beach County on Wednesday, Dec. 6, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center, 1977 SW College Dr. in Belle Glade.

Meet the local experts in person and live stream:

  • Anthropology Works by Dorothy Block, Director of the Lawrence E. Will Museum of the Glades, will be in person at the Belle Glade site.
  • The Archaeology of Palm Beach County and the Opportunities It Presents by Christian Davenport, Palm Beach County Archaeologist and Historic Preservation Officer, will be in person at the Loxahatchee Groves site located at 15845 Southern Blvd.

Light snacks will be served.
