Elks Soccer Shoot results

CLEWISTON — The local Elks Soccer Shoot contest took place at the Sugarland Park soccer fields on Thursday, Sept. 13. The medal winners in each age group are eligible to compete in the Elks Southeast District Soccer Shoot in Clewiston on Saturday, Oct. 13. Local winners will compete against representatives from Okeechobee, West Palm Beach and Jupiter.

• Julieanna Aragus, from Central Elementary School (CES), won the Girls U-8 title with 34 points. Caylie Herring, CES, was second with 31 points. Brooklyn Sergent, from Clewiston Christian School (CCS), was third with 27 points. McKenzie Lansford, CES, placed fourth with 22 points.

• Terrance Ford, CES, was the Boys U-8 champion, winning a double tiebreaker over Alex Trevino, CES. Both boys scored 25 points in regulation. Tryston Sandoval, CES, placed third with 23 points.

• Brittney Casique, CCS, was the Girls U-10 winner, edging out Paisley Bellew, CCS, 14-13.

• Rusvel Aceituno, CES, won the U-10 Boys title with 35 points. Wildes Redish, CCS, placed second with 22 points. Dalton McIlwain, CES, placed third with 17 points and Sean Daniels, CCS, was fourth with 15 points.

• Cari Anthony, CCS, won the U-12 Girls division, scoring 22 points. Sebastian Aragus, Westside Elementary School (WES), was the U-12 Boys champion with 44 points, including two 5-point kicks. Landon Bellew, CCS, placed a close second with 43 points and three 5-point kicks. Francisco Trevino, Clewiston Middle School (CMS), placed third with 39 points, and Gray Redish, CCS, placed fourth with 36 points.

• Nicole Chantang, Clewiston High School (CHS), was the Girls U-16 champion, scoring 44 points, including five 5-point kicks. Katelin Aragus, CHS, placed second with 38 points. Ansley Redish and Jaylin Aragus, CHS, tied for third place with 30 points each.

• Diego Paniagua, CHS, was the Boys U-16 champion with 43 points, which included four 5-point kicks. Gilberto Romero and Jose Fajardo, CHS, placed second and third, respectively, scoring 41 and 40 points in the most competitive division.
There were no U-14 boys or girls in the contest.
