Girls soccer team takes wins

The Clewiston Lady Tiger soccer team began play last week with a victories over Lake Worth Christian and Sebring.

The Tigers defeated Lake Worth 2-1 on Oct. 31. Kelsey Allison, a senior, and Selinda Puentes, a sophomore, scored goals for Clewiston.

Clewiston defeated Sebring 6-1 on Nov. 1.

Puentes scored three goals while Allison, junior Alayna Esparza, and senior Courtney Blanset scored one goal apiece for Clewiston.

The roster this year also includes Carley Morrell, Alexis Rubio, Nicole Roth, Courtney Blanset, Isabella Perez, Selena Gonzalez, Jaylynn Moreno, Norma Velazques Olvera, Destiny Williams, Megan Pittman, Zenyda Soriano, and Ashley Roth.

The Lady Tigers played Jensen Beach and Bishop Verot this week.

Other key home games include Nov. 17 against Oasis at 6 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 13 against LaBelle. Junior varsity match starts at 5:30 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.
